About AMVA
AMVA is owned and operated by
Cedwynn and Liesl Toweel. Together with their children, Cedwynn and Liesl
migrated from Pretoria, South Africa to Australia in 2003 and settled on the
Gold Coast on the eastern shores of Australia, 60 km south of Brisbane, in the
sunny state of Queensland. As have so many before them, they were seeking a
better and more secure life for themselves and their children.
Cedwynn obtained his law degrees
from the University of Pretoria and the University of South Africa (UNISA).
Before migrating to Australia Cedwynn practiced as an advocate and was a
member of the Pretoria Bar for 17 years. Over the years Liesl assisted Cedwynn
with the administration of his practice and various other business interests.
They have worked as a team for over 20 years.
Since arriving in Australia,
Cedwynn had to enrol at Griffith University on the Gold Coast to convert his
legal qualifications to Australian standards.
In 2004 he was admitted as a
barrister-at-law and practices as such in Brisbane. After Cedwynn registered as
a migration agent, he and Liesl formed the company Australian Migration and Visa
Agents Pty Ltd. which at this stage has offices in Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
Having arrived in Australia on a
temporary business visa, the family has in the meantime obtained permanent
residence status and is looking forward to being granted full Australian
citizenship.
